Anatomy education does not end when you graduate from chiropractic school.

On this episode of The Mile High Podcast, Colorado chiropractor Dr. Madhav Gramke is the very special guest.

Dr. Madhav has had a deep obsessive interest with the human body since roughly age 13. It started with athletics and an amazement of the plasticity of forms. When he was in his undergraduate studies, a friend introduced Madhev to his chiropractor, and his life was forever changed. He decided that chiropractic was exactly what he was meant to do.

Upon the advice of a cousin who was a naturopathic doctor, he tutored a few anatomy classes during his time in chiropractic school, simply in order to learn the material better. He agreed with his cousin in his sense that learning anatomy was important as a bodyworker, and that teaching is the best way to learn. This, again, changed his life forever. He fell in love with both anatomy and teaching, and felt it to be the most perfect complement to a chiropractic practice that he could imagine.

After graduating from chiropractic school and a short term associate position, he did what was essentially a six month internship in a dissection lab in Colorado Springs. His relationship with the president of the board and the rest of the lab family became very strong, and he has been teaching workshops there ever since. He runs his own courses, aimed towards chiropractors, and also assists a number of other anatomy educators in facilitating their classes to an incredible variety of health professionals. This is in addition to running his own chiropractic practice since 2021, called Integrate Family Chiropractic. He feels extremely blessed and grateful to have this dream of a professional life and looks forward to practicing and teaching for the rest of his working life.

His favorite quote is, “You can observe a lot just by watching.” - Yogi Berra

On this episode you’ll discover:

  • The importance of the continued study of anatomy after chiropractic school
  • The difference between regional anatomy and integral anatomy
  • The differences between a cadaver program at a university, and a cadaver intensive
  • And MUCH more!

You can learn more about Dr. Gramke at integratechiro.com.

Enjoy this podcast and get ready for Mile High XII in Denver, September 26th – 29th.  You can obtain tickets at www.RiseUpToMileHigh.com.

The very special guest on this episode of The Mile High Podcast is Dr. Jane Brewer.

There are more and more home-grown heroes in the Mile High State, and it's incredible how Colorado has become a hub for Chiropractic and chiropractors dedicated to the principles. Dr. Jane is one of those.

As a mountain biker and skier, Dr. Jane first got into chiropractic to address her persistent hip and back pain. As her body began to heal from the physical injuries she began to notice that other health issues dissipated as well. She no longer suffered from chronic respiratory issues that had plagued her for her entire life. Once she understood the science and philosophy of chiropractic care, it became the obvious choice for her life’s work. She returned to school, 11 years after obtaining her undergraduate degree in Art, to get her Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

She graduated from Life University in Atlanta. While learning traditional chiropractic techniques in school, she gravitated toward Upper Cervical Chiropractic. Dr. Jane is among an elite group of fewer than 100 chiropractors in the world who holds this distinction of the highest level of training and specialization in Upper Cervical Chiropractic. She was the valedictorian of her graduating class.

When she’s not in the office and doesn’t have her head in a research journal, she loves playing outside on her mountain bike, skis, or on her own two feet with her husband, Wes. They have two very dog-like cats, always drink good coffee, and enjoy sharing quality time with friends and family.

You can find her podcast, Liberating the Upper Cervical Spine with Dr. Jane Brewer on You Tube at https://youtu.be/PspTFYkperU

On this podcast, you’ll hear Dr. Jane’s views on:

  • Cone B technology
  • What people may not know about upper cervical care
  • Where to start if you want to learn more about upper cervical spine
  • Doing ONLY upper cervical
  • The Mile High Weekend Event and the power of community
  • And MUCH more!
  •

Enjoy this session with Dr. Jane and make your plans to join her and many more of your principled colleagues at Mile High XII in Denver, September 26th – 29th. You can reserve your seats at www.RiseUpToMileHigh.com

It is indeed a pleasure to welcome a very special guest indeed, Alessandra Colon, to The Mile High Podcast.

🩺At the young age of 14, Dr. Colón was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer. After doctors gave her a 25 percent chance to live, she underwent advanced chemotherapy and radiation, leading her to remission. Surviving her greatest struggle powered her love of health and life. Her experience gave her the push to become more knowledgeable about the human body, nutrition, and natural prevention of disease. After graduating from The University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s of Science, Dr. Colón’s devotion led her to pursue her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Daytona, Florida. At Palmer, she was challenged and instructed by leading professionals in the field and augmented her skill set with proficiencies in sports therapy, rehabilitation, and nutritional guidance.

💪During her studies Dr. Colón desired to both test her abilities further as well as reach out to a global community.  Between 2010 and 2012, she traveled to the Grenadines, the Dominican Republic, and India, offering free chiropractic care to over 4,000 people.  After spending years running marathons alongside her mother and brother in the fight against cancer; she was nominated to campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. After 10 weeks, she raised over 60K and was crowned the 2015 Woman of The Year.  She went on to become Palm Beach Illustrated Top Chiropractor 2018 and Best of Palm Beach 2020 and 2021. Today, she serves her community as a living inspiration to us all and a daily reminder to fight for the things you believe in. Dr. Colón uses a “whole person approach. In her practice.  This approach to wellness involves discovering the root causes of pathology or dysfunction and making interventions and lifestyle adjustments that optimize one’s ability to function in day-to-day life. She looks to the spine when evaluating a patient’s entire body and treats it accordingly. She says, “Don’t restrict your practice to the musculoskeletal; it’s much more than that. There is nothing better than allowing your body to heal itself.”

🎥After a TikTok video about her that she posted went viral at 17M views, Dr. Colon was asked to represent Chiropractic on the TLC show Crack Addicts.

In this episode, you'll hear about:

✅Why she thinks and says about chiropractors being doctors of the nerve system
✅The adjustment being everything in the foundation of chiropractic
✅Her journey and how publicity affected her practice and personal life
✅Being a female chiropractor along this journey
✅The importance of being an authentic chiropractor
✅And MUCH more!
